Saunas in the US, city by city
Traditional, infrared and bathhouse-style heat. The three are different experiences: traditional runs hot and humid enough that the air itself is the event, infrared runs cool enough to sit in for an hour, and a bathhouse is a place you spend an afternoon rather than twenty minutes.
We have mapped 385 across 31 US cities. 362 of them are in the 23 cities with enough for a full list — pick one below for addresses and official sites.
What to check before you book a sauna
Ask which type it is — the word covers three quite different rooms. Ask the temperature, because a 'sauna' at 130°F is an infrared cabin and a traditional room runs 180-195°F. Ask whether sessions are private or communal, and whether there's a cold option on site if you want contrast. Drop-in pricing and membership pricing usually differ by a lot.

We have also mapped a smaller number in Henderson (5) , Tampa (5) , Salt Lake City (4) , Sacramento (2) , Fort Lauderdale (2) , San Antonio (2) , Coral Gables (2) , Columbus (1) . Those do not get their own page yet — too few venues to be a useful list — but they appear on the city directory.

How this list is built
We map venues from public business listings, then read each venue's own website to work out what it actually offers, keeping the phrase we matched on. A venue appears here because its site says it has sauna, not because it paid us — there are no sponsored placements anywhere on Tendground. We don't rank or score venues, and we don't claim to have visited them. How we verify.
